Bangalore, Sep 17 (UNI) France-based developer of software test automation solutions, made its foray into India by opening its first subsidiary Smartesting Software Solutions India Private Limited, here today.
Buoyed by the Indian testing market that was seeing stellar growth estimated by Gartner at USD 700 million this year, Smartesting India hopes to bring to fruition the commercial strategy it initiated in 2006 and to make new strategic partnerships, with the ambition of generating a turnover of two million Euros by 2010, according to a release.
Incorporated in 2003 as the result of a spin-off of a regional IT laboratory in France, Smartesting has become one of the world leaders of the software testing market.
After several months of field work to learn the realities of the Indian market, Smartesting underlined its ambition for growth by opening Smartesting Software Solutions Private Limited in Bangalore, the international centre for new technologies.
''Our presence in India is strategic as the Indian market has become a world-wide phenomenon in the testing domain and several of our clients and prospective clients already entrust test factories in India for their projects,'' CEO and Co-founder of Smartesting Laurent Py said.
