Raj Thackeray in Vidarbha on six-day tour

Nagpur, Sep 17 (UNI) Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray will be on a six-day tour of the Vidarbha region of Maharashtra from tomorrow.

Mr Thackeray would tour Vidarbha to hold district-wise meetings with the party workers in all the 11 districts in the region, a party spokesman said.

He would arrive here from Mumbai by a train tomorrow morning and hold a meeting with workers from Nagpur district, he said.

Later in the day, Mr Thackeray would visit 'Anandwan' Ashram, founded for leprosy patients by noted social worker and Magsaysay award winner late Baba Amte in Chandrapur district, the spokesman said.

He would then proceed to Chandrapur for a meeting, and camp there for the night, he added.

On Friday, Mr Thackeray would hold a meeting at Gadchiroli and also visit the 'SEARCH' project of Dr Abhay Bang before proceeding to Gondia, where he would camp for the night, the spokesman said.

The MNS chief would hold meetings with the workers from Gondia and Bhandara districts on September 20 before returning to Nagpur to camp here for the night, he said.

Mr Thackeray would hold meetings at Wardha, Yavatmal and Amravati on September 21, and at Washim and Akola on September 22. He would also hold a meeting at Buldhana on September 23 before proceeding to Aurangabad by road the same day. The MNS chief is scheduled to return to Mumbai by air from Aurangabad on September 24, he added.
