Only C'garh candidates to get benefit of age in PSC exam
Raipur, Sep 17 (UNI) Facing stiff opposition from several quarters, the Chhattisgarh Government has decided to withdraw relaxation in age limit provided to outsiders and restrict it to state denizens for Public Service Commission examination to be conducted in 2008-09 and 2009-10, official sources said today.
The decision comes after several organisations had come on road demanding that relaxation in age be provided to denizens of the state.
The General Administrative Department issued a notification in this regard yesterday following intervention by Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh.
According to the notification, maximum age limit for candidates selected under direct recruitment is 30. Chhattisgarh residents would get a relaxation of five years. However, candidates from Chhattisgarh would get additional two years' relaxation for PSC examination to be conducted in 2008-09 and 2009-10. For aspirants outside the state, it would remain 30.
