Medybiz to expand to 12 new cities

Mumbai, Sep 17 (UNI) Medybiz, India's pioneering disease management company, is expanding its geographical network across 12 new cities in India, in addition to the 10 cities where the company already has established full-fledged operations.

The current expansion drive is focused on creating a network in Tier-II cities ahead of the formal launch of the Company's disease management services within the next three months in these cities, Medybiz said in a release here. Currently Medybix was present in all metros and key Tier II cities it planned operations included Trivandrum, Coimbatore, Vijaywada, Vishakapatnam, Lucknow, Jaipur, Ludhiana, Chandigarh, Patna, Siliguri, Rajkot and Surat. Medybiz is the disease management company of Reliance Health Ventures Limited of Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group(ADAG).

As part of this network expansion drive, Medybiz is establishing India's first 'Chronic Care Infrastructure'. Besides the geographical network spanning 22 cities, the Chronic Care Infrastructure would include a multi-disciplinary team of chronic care professionals and a national call-centre with 24x7 access to patient relationship managers to advice on chronic ailments.

Medybiz is focusing on 12 key chronic ailments as part of its disease management service portfolio. Notable among these are Diabetes, Arthritis, Asthma, Chronic Lung Disease, Cancers, Heart Diseases and Parkinson's. Medybiz's disease management programme is based on the module of supporting the existing partnership between the doctor and their patient who will be serviced by Medybiz chronic care professionals.

The company was in advanced stages of identifying space and recruiting teams to establish its Tier-II operations. Over the next six months, the company also plans to double its overall headcount.

The company would be hiring chronic care professionals across India to form a dedicated delivery team for its disease management services. As part of this talent acquisition plan, Medybiz plans to hire a team of physiotherapists, dieticians, counselors and home-care specialised nurses.

Medybiz is a pioneer in Disease State Management services in India. The various modules offered by Medybiz under its disease management programme aimed at slowing down the pace of disease progression and enabling faster recovery through quality care.
