Nashik, Sep 17 (UNI) A man allegedly killed his wife and daughter in Upnagar area of the city on September five.
According to sources, the victims Bhagyshree Vetal (25), resident of Varun Apartment Upnagar Nashik road, and her daughter, Manisha (2), were electrocuted in their home on September five.
Police had registered the incident as accidential deaths after her father Bhika Wankhede, resident of Badlapur taluka in Jalna district, had lodged a complaint in the matter.
Suspecting foul play, police investigated further and found that her husband, Badri Digamber Vetal, a lab technician in a private hospital here, had illicit relations with a nurse of the same hospital. Due to this, Bhagyashree stayed at her parents home. Last month, she had returned home in Upnagar.
Police found that Badri, with the help of his lover, gave electric shocks to his wife and daughter.
A case has been registered against the two under section 302, 201 of the IPC. The nurse was arrested late last night.
