K'taka Govt urged to hold inter-religious meets
Bangalore, Sep 17 (UNI) Global Council of Indian Christians (GCIC) today urged the Karnataka Government to hold inter-religious prayer meetings for promoting communal harmony and peace in the state.
In a statement here, the council said the such meetings would promote better understanding and harmony among members of different religious communities.
Referring to the ''attack'' on minorities, it said this would also help promote a cordial and secure atmosphere in the state so that people from minority communities could live without fear or anxiety.
