HM top commander among 7 militants arrested in Kashmir
Srinagar, Sep 17 (UNI) A self-styled District Commander of Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) was among seven militants, who were arrested in the Kashmir valley overnight, a police spokesman said today.
He said police and 6 and 21 Rashtriya Rifles at Handwara conducted raids at several suspected places and arrested two HM militants.
They were identified as district commander of HM Ali Mohammad Mir alias Khadim alias Ali and Javid Ahmad Mir alias Asim Kamal.
Two AK rifles, four magazines, 120 rounds of ammunition, one hand grenade and 13 UBGL were also recovered from their possession.
He said police and 42 RR busted a module of Jaish-e-Mohammad and Harkat-ul-Mujahideen (HuM) during a search operation at Kahlil Tral, about 35 km from here in south Kashmir and arrested five Over Ground Workers (OGW).
