Army Boys wip Air Force School in Subroto Cup pre-quarters

New Delhi, Sep 17 (UNI) Robert Metie scored a hattrick as Army Boys (Lucknow) thrashed the Air Force School (New Delhi) 6-0 in the Sub-junior (U-14) section of the Subroto Cup here today.

Lenin Angom (7th min), Roel Lepcha (17th min) and Bijay Subba (60th min) completed the tally for the Army Boys.

In another match of the same section, Govt Kolasib High School (Mizoram) defeated SAI (Haryana) 2-0. Lallawmkima (6th min) and Lalrosanga (9th min) scored for the Mizoram team.

In the Junior (U-17) section, Govt Central Higher Secondary School (Mizoram) edged out Govt Model Senior Secondary School (Chandigarh) 2-1. Latanzuala (45th min) and Joseph (58th min) found the net for the winners while LC Lalchunmuwia (13th min) reduced the margin for Chandigarh.

The match between St John's Secondary School (Meghalaya) and Scottish Universities Mission Institution (West Bengal) was abandoned due to heavy rain.
