AP CM praises police for peaceful conduct of Ganesh festival
Hyderabad, Sep 17 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today hailed the state police officials for the peaceful conduct of Ganesh immersion festival in the city and other parts of the state.
Reviewing a meeting on security arrangements of the festival here, he said the police should be more cautious, following the serial bomb blasts in various Indian cities.
He also warned communal forces who were trying to create a situation like in Orissa and Karnataka.
He also urged the police to have a continuous dialogue with religious heads and leaders to avoid communal violence in the state.
DGP S S P Yadav, Additional DGP (Law and order) A K Khan, Additional DG (Intelligence) Arvind Rao, Commissioners of Police, Hyderabad, and Commissioners of Police, Cyberabad, also attended the meeting.
