Srinagar, Sep 17 (UNI) As many as 72 development projects at an estimated cost of Rs 1,058 crores are under execution in the state under Jammu and Kashmir Economic Reconstruction Agency (J &K ERA).
This information was given at 10th Governing body meeting of J &K ERA held here today under the chairmanship of the Advisor to Governor C Phunsog, who is also the Chairman of ERA.
The meeting also reviewed the physical and financial achievements registered in the state under ADB funded projects.
It was told that in all 72 development projects at an estimated cost of Rs 1,058 crores are under execution in the State.
An amount of Rs 360 crores have been spent on execution of these developmental projects by August 2008 end. These include improvement and upgradation of roads, construction of storm water drainages, revamping of water supply lines, revamping of water treatment plants and construction of public toilets.
The meeting also discussed the progress on Jammu and Kashmir Urban Sector Development Investment Programme (JKUSDIP), which is the second programme to be launched in J &K through ADB funding assistance. Under the programme projects to be taken up in Srinagar include development of scientific landfill site at Achan Srinagar and construction of untreated water conduit from Rangil to Harwan while as construction of sewerage system for phase 2nd and widening of BC road besides construction of fly over in Jammu.
