N P Pradeep to stay with Mahindra United; inks 2-year deal

Mumbai, Sep 16 (UNI) N P Pradeep, who was embroiled in a transfer controversy with Mahindra United, today signed a two-year deal with them with a salary hike.

Pradeep inked the deal after having discussions with Mahindra United President Alan Durante here today.

After signing the agrement Pradeep informed he was happy with the deal and he will extend his contract to 2010. Pradeep will join the Mahindra practice tomorrow.

The star mid-bielder had earlier negotiated a deal with East Bengal, while having an existing contract with Mahindra United.

Pradeep said, he will now play for Mahindra United as his salary is hiked. I am an Indian player and naturally, I will go, where more money is paid. But with the increase in salary, I will play for Mahindra.

Durante confirmed the salary of Pradeep as well as all other players of his club, will be increased and Pradeep should now play for his club.
