India, Nepal to work together for permanent solution to flood:Lalu
Patna, Sep 16 (UNI) Railway Minister and RJD president Lalu Prasad today said the discussion between India and Nepal on finding a permanent solution to problem of floods in north Bihar were held in a congenial atmosphere.
Mr Prasad told reporters here that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Prime Minister of Nepal Pushp Kamal Dahal held fruitful discussion in New Delhi yesterday on the issues relating to perennial problem of floods.
''I and Union Minister of State for Water Resources Jai Prakash Narain Yadav were also present on the occasion,'' he added.
''Both countries will work together to evolve a solution of recurrent problem of floods in North Bihar,'' Mr Prasad said and added that he had advised for acclerating the works on preparation of Detailed Project Report(DPR) of High Level Dam in Nepal.
When asked, Mr Yadav told reporters here that he had never sought resignation of Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil.
''I had already said what I had to say in this regard after the serial blast in New Delhi,'' he added.
