Heavy rain hampers quarterfinals for second day

Jamshedpur, Sep 16 (UNI) Two quarter final matches of 5th Junior (under 19) football tournament for I-League (second division) between Mohun bagan and East Bangal and Tata Football Academy and JCT, Phagwara could not be played due to heavy rain today.

Both the matches yesterday washed out when they were locked 1-1.

The matches will be played tomorrow.

Meanwhile, official sources told UNI that the semifinals scheduled for tomorrow might be rescheduled for a day after.

Dempo and Sporting Clube de Goa had already qualified for the semi finals.

The final will be played on September 19.
