Visakhapatnam, Sep 16: A depression over the North West Bay of Bengal, which lay centered about 180 km East-South-East of Paradeep at 0530 hrs this morning, promises more rainfall for Andhra Pradesh.
The system is likely to intensify further and move in a West- North-Westerly direction and cross Orissa Coast between Paradeep and Chandbali by this evening.
A specal weather bulletin issued by the Cyclone Warning Centre (CWC) here said under its influence, rainfall or thundershowers were likely at many places over North Coastal Andhra Pradesh and at a few places over South Coastal Andhra Pradesh during the next 48 hours.
Isolated to rather heavy rainfall was likely over North Coastal Andhra Pradesh during the same period.
Strong surface winds from the Westerly direction with speeds reaching 45 to 50 kmph are likely along and off Coastal Andhra Pradesh during the next 24 hours, the bulletin added.
