Amitabh Bachchan in reflective mood, talks of pain, suffering
Mumbai, Sep 16 (UNI) Bollywood mega superstar Amitabh Bachchan today expressed anguish over the serial blasts in New Delhi and said peace and harmony were the need of the hour at this juncture, when anti-national elements were bent on disturbing peace.
''I find it very difficult to put even a single word down on this blog, without my mind reflecting the happenings of the past few days. The pain and the suffering--mental, physical and psychological-- has the ability to destroy the human mind. Destroy to the extent of making every move sensitive and on the verge of explosion,'' the Thespian said.
The actor's son Abhishek just missed the blast, when on seeing a traffic snarl, he asked his driver to turn back from Connaught place, where he was proceeding for a promotional function last saturday.
''When the mind is tormented day in and day out, patience and the ability to tolerate, reaching the highest levels, it is difficult to keep the emotions from spilling over. And anything could trigger it. A piece of music, a kind word or gesture from an unexpected quarter, the affection from a loved one, anything,'' he said.
''I may need more time to gauge what it is that I need to do to have a balanced rational honest attitude. Perhaps time will give me an answer,'' he said.
