AIMF condemns uncalled for detentions by police after blasts
New Delhi, Sep 16 (UNI) While terming the September 13 blasts in Delhi a failure of the Delhi Police to act despite the intelligence inputs, the All India Minorities Front today condemned the police's detention of several innocent people, including people of the minority community, in the aftermath of the incident.
Addressing a press conference here, the AIMF National president S M Asif, condemning the detentions of a large number of people of minority community by the Police, said the police detention of innocent people instead of targeting the real culprits was an attempt to hide its inefficacy.
Immediately after the blasts, the Police began targeting minorities. The police did not even thought that such attacks could be done by the Naxalites or any other militant outfits, including those from the North East and then might give a statement in name of an organisation to divert the attention of the police towards the minorities, Mr Asif added.
Asserting that the entire minority community is against any such terrorist act, Mr Asif appealed to the Government to act in a wise manner and not to target it.
