Shramjivi blast: court summons two witnesses on Sep 24
Jaunpur, Sep 15 (UNI) A local court has summoned two witnesses for testimony on September 24 in the Patna-New Delhi Shramjivi Express bomb blast case.
Three accused Obaid-ur-Rehman, Hilal-ud-din and Nafikul -- presently incarcerated in Jaunpur district jail -- were today produced before Additional District and Sessions Judge (III) Rajendra Chandra amid tight security.
After recording the statement of the 34th witness, the judge summoned the 36th and 37th witnesses, Sheela and Ravindra Mehta, for the next hearing.
There are 48 witnesses in the case.
The July 28, 2005 blast near Halpalganj-Singramau railway station in the district had killed at least 14 people and severely wounded 90 others.
