New Delhi, Sep 15 (UNI) Alok Baa pumped in seven goals for St Ignatius High School, Jharkhand to defeat Chandigarh's St John's High School 9-1 in the sub-junior category of Subroto Cup at Ambedkar stadium here today.
Alok scored five goals in the first half, while Mahender Monda and Prakash Topno scored a goal each in the 24th and 27th minute respectively to make it 6-0 at half time.
In the second half, Alok came back to score two more goals and virtually declared the verdict himself after the final whistle.
In the next match of the day in the same category, BKSP Dhaka, Bangladesh defeated Khowang Higher Secondary School, Assam 1-0.
The lone goals for Bangladesh team came from Md Rubel Hossain in the 10th minute.
Later, Sankha Marandi and Bhada Tudu scored a brace each for Town High School, Orissa to defeat NCC (North East Region) 4-0 in the junior's category.
While Marandi scored in the 33rd and 36th minute, Tudu found the net in the 52nd and 69th minute.
NCC (West Bengal and Sikkim) also trounced St Joseph's School, Goa 2-0.
Biswanath Soren scored both the goals for NCC in the first half.
