London, Sept 15 : Doctors have given Jade Goody a new hope in her cancer battle after they caught it 'just in the nick of time.'
The former Big Brother star, who is recovering in hospital from an eight-hour hysterectomy, told a pal that she could now look to the future.
Goody's cancer was found to have spread and she had feared that would slash her chances of recovery to near 50 per cent.
"Her chances are way higher because they have nipped it in the bud. Now the op is out of the way it's a real boost for her and she's so much more hopeful," the Sun quoted a friend, as saying.
"Yes, she will have to deal with more chemo and radiotherapy but she's strong and will be able to deal with it.
"She's been enjoying visits from her family. Her boys have put a real smile on her face," the friend added.
The 27-year-old has been moved out of the intensive care unit at London's Royal Marsden Hospital but will remain under observation for sometime.
