Indo-French JCM scheduled on Sep 15
New Delhi, Sep 15: The 15th Session of Indo-French Joint Committee Meeting (JCM) is scheduled to be held on Monday, Sep 15. The meeting will be co-chaired by Dr Rahul Khullar, Additional Secretary, Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
The JCM will be attended by G K Pillai, Secretary (Commerce); Ajay Shankar, Secretary (DIPP); and senior officials from the Ministry of Power, Railways, Telecommunications, Urban Development, Road Transport and Highways, Mines, Posts and Information Technology.
On Tuesday, there will be a bilateral meeting between Kamal Nath, Union Minister of Commerce and industry and Anne Marie Idrac, French Minister of State for External Trade.
During the bilateral meeting, both the Ministers are expected to discuss about enhancing the bilateral trade, investment flows, and activities under the MoU on Cooperation on Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs).
The Ministers will also discuss about the review of Joint Working Groups on agriculture, IT and telecom, transport sector, energy and mineral exploration.
The Protocol of the Indo-French JCM is expected to be signed by both the Ministers.
Thereafter, Kamal Nath will have a meeting with the French delegation.
