Goa NCP, Congress condemn Delhi blasts, attack on places of worship
Panaji, Sep 15 (UNI) Goa NCP president Dr Wilfred D'souza and Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) president MP Francisco Sardinha today strongly condemned the serial bomb blasts that rocked New Delhi on September 13, and vandalising of places of worship in Karnataka.
Speaking to mediapersons, Dr D'Souza said the law and order situation in Karnataka, which now has a BJP government, was broken down. It was not expected that these incidents would take place as soon as BJP had taken over in Karnataka, he said.
Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil should take urgent steps to stop the violence and destruction of life and property in both Karnataka and Orissa, he said.
Mr Sardinha alleged communal hatred was spreading in the BJP ruled state. ''It is nothing, but spread of terrorism by the BJP,'' he alleged.
He said ''This is very bad for secular fabric of our nation and I hope the Chief Ministers of other BJP-ruled states take would serious note of this''.
