Geet Sethi, Pankaj Advani qualify for World Snooker Tourney

Chennai, Sep 15 (UNI) Newly-crowned double World Billiards title winner Pankaj Advani, Manan Chandra, Alok Kumar and Geet Sethi qualified for snooker World Championship to be held at Austria next month.

The two-day qualifying event concluded at the MCC Club here last evening.

While Advani and Manan Chandra would play in the men's event, Alok and Geeth Sethi would figure in the Masters event.

The results: Men : (best of seven frames): Pankaj Advani bt Alok Kumar 90-0 109-0, 72-49, 60-22; Manan Chandra bt Sourav Kothari 71-44, 50-30, 52-65, 59-50, 80-40; Alok bt Kothari 60-26, 57-43, 61-22, 66-16; Advani bt Manan 47-65, 36-83, 67-5, 71-43, 33-75, 62-43, 74-1.

Masters (best of five): Play-offs: Alok Kumar bt M C Manoj 74-43, 81-22, 43-59, 65-49; Geet Sethi bt S A Saleem 79-2, 52-10, 67-36.
