New Delhi, Sep 15 (UNI) French President Nicolas Sarkozy has written to Prime Prime Minister Manmohan Singh expressing condolences over the loss of lives in the serial blasts in the capital, and said the European Union and France were ''more than ever before'' on India's side to face the ''redoubtable'' challenge of terrorism.
Mr Sazkozy, who will meet Dr Singh in France later this month, said he would like to use the opportunity for ''strengthening our action against this scourge''.
Dr Singh will be in France on September 29 and 30 for the India-EU Summit and the bilateral India-France Summit.
''At a time when India has once again been struck by attacks in its capital, I would like to express, on behalf of the European Union, France and myself, my condolences and my full and complete solidarity,'' wrote Mr Sarkozy, whose country is the current chair of the 27-nation European Union.
''I would request you to be my interpreter to the victims' families to express my condolences and my deepest sympathy,'' he said in his letter yesterday.
