Bangalore, Sep 15 (UNI) Former prime minister and JD(S) president H D Deve Gowda today demanded the resignation of Karnataka Home Minister V S Acharya for ''failing'' to curb the attacks on places of worship in various parts of the state.
Mr Gowda told reporters here that the Home Minister should own the responsibility for the ''spate of violence'' against the minority community.
He also demanded an inquiry by a sitting High Court Judge into the incidents.
He appealed to the people of the state to protect and preserve the state's reputation as a 'land of peace'.
