Cong claims it would win two-thirds majority
Hyderabad, Sep 15 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) today claimed that the party would win two-thirds majority in the next elections as the people had confidence in the ruling Congress government in the state.
Addressing a press conference here, party spokesperson N Tulasi Reddy said the state had developed manifold during the last four and a half years due to various welfare and developmental schemes initiated by the State government.
He alleged that the Praja Rajyam Party, launched by actor Chiranjeevi, had no policies and programmes to serve the people.
Ridiculing the remarks of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President N Chandrababu Naidu that the UPA government had failed to control the terrorist activities in the country, he said instead of criticising the UPA government, Mr Naidu should think about the incidents like attack at Aliperi in Tirupati, car bomb- blast at Jubilee hills and murder of former TDP Minister Madhava Reddy and terrorist attack on Parliament during NDA and TDP regimes.
