Bar Council Announces Changes In LLB Course
New Delhi, Sep 15 (UNI) Citing changes brought about by globalisation, the Bar Council of India today announced new curriculum and rules for Bachelor of Law degree.
The Council noted that the existing curriculum has ''outlived its utility'' while world trade and commerce and information technology have grown by leaps and bounds.
Headed by former Supreme Court Judge A P Mishra, the Council's legal education committee has prescribed fresh age and other norms for admission to courses.
The new curriculum and rules will be sent to universities by the first week of October giving enough time to have them incorporated, the Council said.
