Shimla, Sep 14 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh government is contemplating constructing a Himachal Bhawan at Bangalore and will take up the issue with the Karnatka government.
Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal, who is in Bangalore attending the National BJP executive meeting is expected to discuss the matter with his Karnatka counterpart, an official spokesman here stated.
Mr Dhumal made this announcement while interacting with the Karnataka-Bangalore Himachal Association today. The state already has two such Bhawans in Delhi and Chandigarh.
Chairman of the Associationm Prabhat Chaudhary welcomed the idea of a Himachal Bhawan in Bangalore. He said that there is a fairly large population of Himachalis, particularly amongst the student community in Bangalore and other cities of Karnataka. The Association presented a bank draft of Rs 50,000 towards the Chief Ministers Relief Fund.
