Five killed and seven injured in road accident in HP
Shimla, Sep 14 (UNI) Five people were killed and seven others were injured when a jeep in which they were travelling fell down into a gorge at Parmeshwri-Dhank near Bagi, about 100 km from here last night, police here said.
The jeep carring 12 persons fell into the groge after the driver lost control of the vehicle killing three men and two women on the spot.
A police party after learning of the mishap rushed on the spot and after rescuing the injured rushed them to the hospital near the tourist resort of Narkanda. Two of the seriously injured were later shifted to the IGMC here while the remaining five are still at the Narkanda hospital.
The deceased were identified as Togya Ram (40), Hira Pati (38), Radha (32), Meena Dorjei (38) and Raju (24).
Police sources said that the ill-fated vehicle was on its way to Pujarli in Shimla district from Sangla in Kinnaur district.
