Shajaad Ali among guests of honour

Sirsa, Sep 13 (UNI) An industrialist and cricket fan from Lahore, Shajaad Ali Khan, was special guest of honour on the second day-night semi-final played between Indian Navy and Indian Air Force in the first edition of the Jannayak Chaudhary Devi Lal International Twenty20 Cricket Tournament at the JCD National Cricket Academy Stadium here tonight.

His presence may further boost the morale of Lahore Lions entered the final by defeating Life Insurance Corporation of India in the first semi-final yesterday.

He was received by the Indian Amateur Boxing Association president Khel Rattan Abhey Singh Chautala, chairman of JCD National Cricket Academy Digvijay Singh Chautala, Director General, JCD Vidhyapeeth Prof Dr Kuldeep Singh Dhindsa, Sandeep Godara and other members of the organising committee.

Maj General RK Yadav, GOC 33rd Armed Division, Hisar Cantonment was the chief guest of the match. Director, Tegson Info Pvt Limited Teg Singh Sandhu was one of the guest of honour. Maj Gen RK Yadav presented the Man of the Match trophy and Teg Singh Sandhu give a cheque of Rs 21,000 to the MoM.

Folk singer Inderjit Singh Nikoo from Ludhiana (Punjab) enthralled the spectators as he sang a hit from ''Singh is Kinng starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif. Other noted artistes also presented a heart-warming cultural programme.

Immediately after the match, the sky was lit by fireworks.
