MP Governor expresses concern over health condition
Bhopal, Sep 13 (UNI) Expressing concern over the increasing tentacles of malnutrition, dengue and other deadly diseases in Madhya Pradesh, state Governor Balram Jakhar today said the government alone was not responsible to combat the condition but efforts should also be made by non-governmental organisations (NGOs), self-help-groups (SHG) and individuals.
Inaugurating a two-day workshop on Human Health Rights (HRC) at the local Prashasan Academy on the foundation day of state's Human Rights Commission, Dr Jakhar said that common man should abide by his duties and responsibilities while enjoying the rights.
''Contribution of common man is must in the smooth functioning of health schemes,'' he said.
HRC President D M Adhikari said that dearth of human emotions affected the success of health schemes.
''In order to rectify the lacuna a constant dialogue is in progress with the government, NGOs and SHG,'' he said.
Dr Jakhar also released the HRC's special edition 'Manav Adhikar' -- Human Rights -- on this occasion.
