Srinagar, Sep 13 (UNI) Indefinite curfew continued in Shopian and Baramulla towns in the Kashmir valley since last evening, following the death of two people and injuries to several others in police and CRPF firing and lathicharge.

Official sources said no relaxation was given in the curfew restriction in Shopian and old Baramulla town.

However, roll number slips of candidates appearing in the Common Entrance Test (CET) will be considered as curfew passes in the curfew-bound areas.

The divisional authorities have accordingly directed the security forces in this regard, officials said.

Indefinite curfew was imposed in Shopian town after one Sajjad Ahmad Ganie was killed and several others were wounded when CRPF and police opened fire, burst teargas shells and resorted to lathicharge to disperse processionists.

Similarly, curfew was clamped in old Baramulla town when the CRPF and police opened fire, burst teargas shells to disperse processionists yesterday afternoon. One Manzoor Ahmad was killed and several others were wounded.
