Food festival during Dasara festival planned

Mysore, Sep 13 (UNI) Mouth watering cuisines of different regions of the country will be on display and sale at the week-long famous dasara food festival commencing here from September 30.

Speaking to press persons here Chairman of the Food festival R M Narasimamurthy said that varieties of food items from across the country including Karavali, Malnad, Uttar Karnataka and North Indian would be available at the food festival which will have more then 30 stalls of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian.

More then one lakh people are expected to visit the food festival this year which would be added attractions during the dasara festivities which will expected to began on September 30 here.

An eating competition for the youth would also be conducted during the seven days besides regular culture programmes to enthral the Mysorians and others who visit the festival every day.

Meanwhile, a farmers dasara will be held from October 1 as part of the dasara festivities and it has been organised for the first time.
