New Delhi, Sep 12 (UNI) Hyderabad based public sector National Minerals Development Corporation (NMDC) presented final dividend cheque of Rs 210.64 crore to Steel Minister Ram Vilas Paswan here today.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Paswan said that NMDC had paid interim dividends of Rs 430.37 crore earlier this year. With this the total dividend paid by NMDC to the government for the year 2007-08 has increased to Rs 631 crore, which is the highest ever, dividend paid by the company.
Presenting the cheque, NMDC Chairman and Managing Director Rana Som said the company has not increased prices of iron ore since October one, last year and are much lower than the international market. The price revision is due in April.
