Hyderabad, Sep 12 (UNI) Yesterday's well marked low pressure area over west-central Bay of Bengal off north Coastal Andhra Pradesh moved inland and lay over Telangana and neighbourhood today.
''Under its influence isolated heavy to very heavy rain is likely over Telangana and isolated heavy rain is also likely over Coastal Andhra Pradesh during next 48 hours,'' according to the Indian Meteorology Department (IMD) officials.
Moderate to rather heavy rain or thundershowers were likely at many places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Light to moderate rain or thundershowers were likely at a few places over Rayalaseema, IMD officials added.
South-west monsoon has been vigorous over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana in the last 24 hours. Isolated rain occurred over Rayalaseema too.
Nizamabad, Sultanabad (Karimnagar dist) recorded a heavy rainfall of 16 CM each, followed by Navipet (Nizamabad dist) 14 , Bheemgal (Nizamabad dist), Elamanchili (Visakhapatnam dist), Koyyalagudem (West Godavari dist) 13 each, Bodhan (Nizamabad dist), Mulugu (Warangal dist) 12 each, Bhadrachalam, Visakhapatnam, Polavaram (West Godavari dist) 11 each, Ramagundam, Mudhol (Adilabad dist), Parkal (Warangal dist), Rajahmundry (East Godavari dist) 10 each, Armoor (Nizamabad dist), Nirmal (Adilabad dist) 9 each, Karimnagar (Karimnagar dist), Yellandu (Khammam dist) 8 each, Chinnoor (Adilabad dist), Dummagudem&Perur (both Khammam dist), Metpalli (Karimnagar dist) 7 each.
