Bhopal, Sep 12 (UNI) The Narmada Valley Development Authority will organise special job fairs with a view to provide employment to educated youth belonging to families displaced due to construction of Sardar Sarovar, Indira Sagar, Omkareshwar, Maan and Jobat projects in the Narmada valley.
All out efforts will be undertaken for providing jobs to families displaced due to implementation of various Narmada valley projects, said Narmada Valley Development Minister Nagendra Singh, adding private industries and other employment agencies will also be invited to the job fairs for interviews and to provide jobs on the spot. Industries will also impart training to selected youth, he said.
The job fairs will now be held at Jhabua, Alirajpur, Dhar, Badwani, Khargone, Khandwa, Dewas, Harda, Hoshangabad, Jabalpur, Mandla and Dindori districts. As many as 24,000 unemployed youth have been provided jobs through such fairs in the state, official sources added.
