New Delhi, Sep 12: Low-cost carrier IndiGo on Friday, Sep 12 announced the expansion of its route network, with the introduction of four new fights from Saturday, Sep 13.
The new flights will operate between Pune and Chennai, with an onward connection to Kolkata, IndiGo CEO Bruce Ashby said in a statement. With the launch of these new services, IndiGo will operate 99 daily flights connecting 17 destinations. IndiGo will introduce non-stop round trip service between Pune and Chennai, as well as additional flights between Chennai and Kolkata and between Kolkata and Pune via Chennai.
Flight 6E524 will leave Pune at 2110 hrs and reach Chennai at 2300 hrs.
Flight 6E523 will leave Chennai at 0830 hrs and reach Kolkata at 1045 hrs.
Flight 6E523 will leave Pune at 0555 hrs and arrive at Chennai at 0735 hrs.
Flight 6E523 will leave Pune at 0555 hrs and reach Kolkata via Chennai at 1045 hrs.
Flight 6E524 will leave Kolkata at 1835 hrs and reach Chennai at 2035 hrs.
Flight 6E524 will leave Kolkata at 1835 hrs and reach Pune via Chennai at 2300 hrs.
With the launch of these flights, the airline now connects 17 destinations, including Agartala, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bhubaneshwar, Chennai, Delhi, Goa, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Imphal, Jaipur, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune and Vadodara.
IndiGo plans to serve about 30 Indian cities by 2010, with a fleet of 40 A320s.
