Bangalore, Sept 12 : The Bharatiya Janata Party's three-day national convention, which began here today, will discuss the party strategy for the Lok Sabha elections scheduled next year.
The BJP State President Sadananda Gowda said that party has already initiated the process of identifying prospective candidates for various Lok Sabha and Assembly seats.
Around 260 delegates are expected to attend the meet at Chancery Pavilion Hotel on Residency Road.
BJP spokesperson Dhananjaya Kumar said that the Karnataka unit of the party has set up 24 committees to ensure that everything goes well.
The main speakers at the executive will be party president Rajnath Singh, prime ministerial candidate L.K. Advani and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi.
With the party in power in Karnataka, the BJP will organise Vijay Sankalp rallies across the nation and L K Advani will address the first such rally here on Saturday.
