Ahmedabad, Sep 11 (UNI) At least two million devotees from all over Gujarat will reach the famous Shaktipeetha Ambaji temple on September 15, the Bhadrapad Purnima day.
The state government has mobilised all necessary resources to make the pilgrimage hassle-free.
Tourism minister Jaynarayan Vyas told mediapersons yesterday that for the first time ''Padyatris'' (pilgrimage on foot) will be provided with shelters on the route. Eleven permanent shelters and 30 temporary shelters have been erected.
Police control rooms have been set up at three places in the area. State transport corporation has earmarked 1,385 buses to ferry devotees from different places to Ambaji. As many as three lakh devotees will be served Prasadam (food) free of charge and several medical teams will be deployed to provide medical aid to the pilgrims.
