Raipur, Sep 11 (UNI) The first international stadium of Chhattisgarh has been inaugurated with a Twenty-20 Cricket match here today.
Chhattisgarh Governor E S L Narshimhan inaugurated the stadium, which was constructed at a cost of Rs 100 crore.
Chief Minister Raman Singh and a host of other state ministers were present there.
The newly-built stadium has a capacity of 60,000 with the facility of floodlight and electronics scoreboard. The 13 blocks in the stadium were named after the rivers of the state.
A good number of spectators came to watch the match played between former and present test and Ranji players blocking all the routes towards the stadium, situated about 30 km from the state capital.
