Bangalore, Sep 11 (UNI) Tamil Nadu-based Indian Holistic Medical Academy (IHMA) will set up its International Holistic Medicines University(IHMU) near the International airport in the city.
IHMA Chairman S Nagendran told UNI here today that the varsity would come up on a ten acre land near the airport at Devanahalli in the next six months.
A private party had already come forward to provide the land free-of-cost for the University, he said.
He said the varsity, would offer post-graduate courses in various alternative therapies like acupuncture, acupressure, sujok, magneto therapy, naturopathy, yoga, and aroma therapy from the coming year.
It will also conduct a one-year diploma course in the holistic medicines.
Such international universities were already existing in US, Britain, France and Sri Lanka, he said.
Dr Nagendran, who is also associated with the International Open University for Alternative Medicines in Sri Lanka, said that IHMA received an ISO certification today, for its years of service to the humanity.
The proposed university will also have an indoor facility for providing health services with a holistic approach to people, he said.
