Corruption case registered against Amarinder in landscam
Mohali, Sep 11 (UNI) The Punjab Vigilance Bureau today registered a corruption case against former Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh in the 32.10 acres Amaritsar Improvement Trust Land scam case here.
Others Named in the case (FIR No 3) are former minister Choudhary Jagjeet Singh, former Amritsar Improvement Trust Chairman Juggal Kishore Sharma, former Vidhan Sabha secretary N S Maavi, former Vidhan Sabha employee Tara Chand besides Subhash Chander and Bir Sharma, both owners of Vir Colonisers.
FIR was registered at the Vigilance Bureau police station here under section 120.B, 420, 467, 468 and 471 of the IPC and Section 7 and 13 D of of Prevention of Corruption Act.
Capt Singh was expelled from the state Vidhan Sabha yesterday after a House Committee had found in guilty in the land scam case pertaining to his tenure as chief minister.
A resolution moved in the Vidhan Sabha yesterday had recommended registration of corruption case against Capt Singh and others.
The resolution recommended a further aprove by the Vigilance Bureau in the land scam case.
