Cabinet changes funding pattern for rural development of NE region
New Delhi, Sept 11 (UNI) With a view to boosting development of the North-East region, The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) today gave its approval for changing the funding pattern of these states with regard to program related to rural development from 75:25 (Grant to loan) to 90:10.
The new formula will also be applicable to Sikkim.
The schemes to be covered under the new formula include Swarnjayanti Gram Swarozgar Yojana (SGSY), Indira Awaas Yojana (IAY) and District Rural Development Agency Administration (DRDA).
