Mumbai, Sep 11 (UNI) A large number of flood affected people from Bihar are in the city to take treatment in different civic as well as private hospitals.

Speaking to mediapersons here today, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) Commissioner Dr Jairaj Phatak said the Corporation had launched a drive at different long distance railway stations to monitor the people coming from Bihar for treatment.

Dr Phatak said as per preliminary information 155 people had arrived in the city at Lokmanya Tilak Railway station, Kurla, seven at Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus and four at Bandra terminus.

He said, however, that none of these people needed hospitalisation.

This drive will continue for next one-and-half week at all the stations, he added.
