Hyderabad, Sep 10 (UNI) Congress President Sonia Gandhi will undertake a short tour of Andhra Pradesh tomorrow.
Flying from New Delhi at 0815 hrs by a special aircraft, Ms Gandhi, accompanied by Congress Working Committee Permanent invitee and AICC in-charge of Andhra Pradesh Veerappa Moily, would land at Tirupati airport at 1045 hrs.
She would be given a reception by among others, Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy and Pradesh Congress President D Srinivas, a party release said.
After a brief interaction with the heads of the 'Mahila' organisations there, she would address women members of the Self-Help-Groups of the 'Indira Kranthi Patham' scheme between 1100 hrs and 1230 hrs, before leaving for Kadapa district by a helicopter at 1310 hrs.
On reaching Idupulapaya in the district, she would unveil the pylon for Rajiv Knowledge Valley and statue of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. She would also inaugurate the International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) and interact with the students till 1425 hrs before leaving for lunch.
Ms Gandhi would leave for Anantapur at 1525 hrs and address a public meeting at the Rajiv Gandhi Pranganam from 1600 to 1700 hrs, before leaving for Bangalore enroute New Delhi on the same day.
