Satish Chandra appointment case: HC asks for collegium records
Allahabad, Sep 10 (UNI) Allahabad High Court today called for court's collegium records on Friday regarding the appointment of Justice Satish Chandra.
Justice Satish Chandra was appointed judge of the Allahabad High Court and took oath as a High Court judge on August 6.
The appointment of Justice Chandra was challenged by a High Court lawyer M C Gupta on the grounds that Mr Chandra lacks basic qualification of the High Court judge.

The records/reports of the collegium of the High Court has been summoned in the Court for perusal.
The Court has also asked the Additional Solicitor General to appear and arrange the case on September 16. Since, the Union of India is also a party respondent in a writ petition, therefore the Court has asked additional solicitor general to argue this case on the fixed date.
