Pete Doherty uses his blood painting to settle cab bill
Washington, Sept 10 : Rocker Pete Doherty made a painting with his own blood and sold it off to the owner of his local taxi firm - to pay off outstanding debts of 3,330 dollars.
The Babyshambles singer created the artwork, which he describes as his 'best' one, after a row with his managers shortly before he was due to play at legendary British music festival Glastonbury this summer (08).
The rocker was stunned with his creativity - but he had to hand it over as settlement for his huge cab bill.
"I did it the day I thought I wasn't going to be playing Glastonbury... I'd just fallen out with my managers, so I decided to stay home and paint instead...," Contactmusic quoted him, as saying.
"It's probably the best painting I've done but I gave it to the boss of my local taxi firm because I'd run up a GBP1,800 bill," he added.
