Don't be misled, Capt Yadav asks agitating teachers

Chandigarh, Sep 8 (UNI) Haryana Irrigation Minister Ajay Singh Yadav today urged the Guest Teachers not to be misled by ''those trying to malign the image of the government'' as the present state government was ''pro-people.'' ''It has always safeguarded the interests of all sections of society especially the teaching community and it will continue to do so,'' he said in a statement issued here.

Capt Yadav said the present state Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda had always held teachers in high esteem and had taken a number of initiatives for the welfare of teaching community.

The Minister said the opponents were envious of the popularity of the present government among masses due to fast pace of development of the state. Hence, for grinding their own axe and for their vested interests, they were trying to mislead the people, he added.
