New Delhi, Sep 10 (UNI) The Delhi Half Marathon, the richest event in the world of its kind, will see more than 30,000 people run together on November 9.
Billing the event as an ideal preparation for the 2010 Commonwealth Games, Indian Olympic Association (IOA) President Suresh Kalmadi said, ''In the past three years the Delhi Half Marathon has been the perfect build-up event to the 2010 Commonwealth Games. I have watched the event grow tremendously with every passing year and consider it the ideal platform to get the entire city of Delhi fit in time to welcome to Games.'' ''This year, the Airtel Delhi Half Marathon will be bigger and better and will prove to the world that Delhi is more than capable of hosting events that are among the best in the world,'' he added.
