Bharat Nirman campaign in North Andaman
Port Blair, Sept 10(UNI) The fourth phase of 'Bharat Nirman' campaign in Andaman will begin in remote Diglipur Island from October 31, official sources today said.
The Lt. Governor of Andaman and Nicobar, Mr Bhopinder Singh is expected to inaugurate the 5-days campaign, sources informed.
The decision was taken in a meeting held under the chairmanship of Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Information and Publicity, Mr Arvind Ray. It was also attended by the senior officials of the administration.
The campaign will include cultural programmes, Mr Ray said adding all the departments has been advised to put up their stalls in the public information campaign which will create awareness about the various flagship programmes of the government.
More than 40 departments including NGOs,SHGs,PRIs besides defence establishments will put up their stalls in the campaign, he informed.
Various programems such as seminars, workshops, health camps,rural sports, cultural programmes and film shows will be organized during the campaign, Media and Communication Officer of PIB, O N Jaiswal told UNI.
