Hyderabad, Sep 9 (UNI) US Company Synergics Energy Services and Sneha Kinetic Power Company today signed a Memorandum of Understanding for setting up the Rs 500 crore Dikchu Hydroelectric Project across river Dikchu in Sikkim to generate 96 MW power.
The signing ceremony here was witnessed by US Assistant Commerce Secretary David Bohigan, who is leading a US Clean Energy Trade Mission to India.
''We are pleased to be part of this important project that will bring sustainable energy generation to the state of Sikkim and India,'' Synergics Energy Services Chairman Wayne Rogers told reporters.
The construction work for the hydro station project comprising a small diversion dam, a tunnel and underground power house would start in December this year and completed in four years, Sneha Kinetic Power Project Ltd Managing Director B Murali Mohan Reddy said.
